Today, we have important news to share with you! We are pleased to inform you that our CTO, Falko Schmalenberg has officially joined the management board of TACHOfresh GmbH effective April 1st, 2024. Falko will gradually assume additional responsibilities, particularly leading our product management. With this decision, we aim to strengthen and rejuvenate our leadership team while maintaining continuity in an ever-evolving industry.

Release 6.8 / 6.8.1: Introduction of Driver Groups

• The introduction of driver groups will occur in two phases:

• With release 6.8, preparatory changes will be released to BETA on April 17th, 2024. Our partner managers will be delighted to provide you with a demo.

• With release 6.8.1, the new driver groups will be put into production on May 2nd, 2024. The extensive BETA phase aims to give all partners an early opportunity to familiarize themselves with the changes.

Important Reminders

• SmartTacho Retrofit Deadlines for the new Generation 2 tachographs

  • December 31st, 2024: Vehicles registered before June 16th, 2019, with older tachographs than SmartTacho, Generation 1.

  • August 18th, 2025: Vehicles equipped with a SmartTacho Generation 1.

It is recommended to schedule the retrofit alongside any required calibration if possible.

• When terminating a complete customer account, we kindly ask all service partners to enter the desired end date in the customer master data and refrain from communicating via the ticket system or email. Thank you!
