Our next RELEASE 7.2 will go into production on the evening of 23 January 2025.

Contents:

• The new shift report, which was already available on BETA.

• The following improvements / adjustments:

  • Transfer of driver and vehicle data to another customer account in TF - please contact our support team

  • External personnel number - if maintained in the master data - is included in the driver-related CSV report exports

  • Manually entered comments in the infringement evaluation are also displayed in the driver evaluation

  • Driver management: instead of ‘last upload’, the ‘last date’ of an activity (from the most recent file) is now correctly displayed in the portal

Grace period for conversion to SmartTacho 2

The EU member states have reached a consensus that grants a two-month grace period (from 1 January to 28 February 2025) for the implementation of the

retrofitting obligation for second-generation of smart tachographs. This change is intended to help transport companies and manufacturers the retrofitting

backlog and minimize disruption to cross-border transport and EU supply chains.

The following EU states have currently declared that they will grant the grace period until 28 February 2025: Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, France,

Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Spain. Switzerland and the UK have also granted the grace period.

During this grace period, transport companies that have not yet retrofitted their vehicles do not have to expect sanctions.

Instead, the inspectors should sensitise transport companies to the retrofitting obligation

(further information is available on the European Commission's website).

Increased data volume for the new G2V2 driver cards

We would like to draw the attention of all partners to the fact that the new G2V2 driver cards will entail a significantly increased data volume:

G2V2: 120 KB per download

G2V1: 60 KB per download

G1:     20 KB per download
