Front Remote Download Cable

Only Continental VDO digital tachographs have the option to use the front connector for remote download from Version 1.3 onwards. To activate this option in the digital tachograph it is necessary to buy an activation card from a VDO dealer (Version 1.3 - 2.2). From Version 3.0 onwards it is required to activate the front remote download via an Internet activation procedure.

The AMSEL (Automatic Module Self Examination Logbook) Test is designed to check all active SW modules of the TCU (Telematics Control Unit)and send the results to the MMS (Middleware). A installer can check the result on a website to see if the installation is correct and all functions are working as expected.
The URL is as follows:
https://mms-ws.tachofresh.eu/amsel?imei=(full IMEI number), the last 3 protocols will be shown. If there is a need to show more protocols, after the IMEI number it needs to be added "&show50"

This protocol will be shown up, if the feature for download is not enabled on the Box. If you have this case please contact your support for activation over the air. The activation over the air takes from 1 - 5 minutes and will be sent to the Box over SMS.
Important:
The Box needs to be online and sending in order for Support to be able to activate it!
